Lauritano Castle

Located 650 m above sea level, in a splendid natural position overlooking the entire Amalfi coast, the Lauritano Castle offers a unique spectacle in the world, a landscape of enchanting beauty.

From the paradise terrace of the Lauritano Castle, in fact, you can admire Amalfi with its cathedral and its towers, while turning your gaze to the left you can contemplate the entire city of Ravello starting from the viewpoint of Villa Cimbrone up to Piazza Vescovado with the his cathedral.
Again, looking to the right you can admire Conca dei Marini with its particularities such as the Santa Rosa convent and its tower.

Below the Lauritano Castle you can also see the remains of the Cospiti convent, dating back to the year 1000: according to an oral tradition, St. Francis also stopped in this convent in 1222 on his journey to the Amalfi Coast.
Extending your gaze in depth you can admire the entire Gulf of Salerno starting from Punta Licosa and then continuing with Castellabate, Agropoli, Paestum and the entire Sele plain with Eboli and Battipaglia.
